Recently I am trying to use a bubble trap (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071GL1CFF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) to get rid of bubbles between buffers and sample. However, the bubble trap only seems to work when I used water to test. When I use my IP buffer, which contains Triton-X 100, SDS, and sodium doxycholate, the bubbles just kept getting into my device. I know that bubble trap cannot remove bubbles from organic solvent, but will those detergent s have a similar effect as organic solvent? (because the PTFE membrane is hydrophobic) looking forward to your suggestion. Thanks.
